“Since I've been in Paris, I’ve been working a lot with objects I find in the streets. This is partly due to my budget and lifestyle, but I also find it interesting to explore the concept of money through trash and industrial materials—things that are byproducts of the fast-paced life we live in big cities.”

— EXCERPT FROM INTERVIEW (05.03.25)

Micaela Yenobi is a Peruvian artist currently based in Paris. Working mainly with volume and installation but also with sound and text, she explores money-related symbolism from a cultural and sentimental prism. The economic vocabulary that she uses as a starting point, which she sees as abstract and ironic as memories and love, allows her to reflect on themes that move her personally in a playful way. She is especially interested in the ritual aspect of banal actions and thoughts of our daily routine and likes to see spirituality as a flow of materiality and emotion that keeps life moving.
