— EXCERPT FROM INTERVIEW (23.01.25)

Mathis Perron is a French artist whose work is rooted in his love for nature, storytelling, and the way humans interact with the environment. Combining drawing, sculpture, and performance, his art explores the connection between the natural world and human-made structures. He uses materials like paper pulp, vegetal chlorophyll, and steel to create pieces that challenge the boundary between ecology and art, often incorporating plants from his own garden.

Perron views his practice as a living research, constantly evolving, and engaging with the world around him. His work invites reflection on our relationship with nature and the sustainability of the systems we’ve built. In addition to his artistic practice, Mathis leads workshops that bring his ideas to life and involve others in his exploration of nature’s rhythms and cycles. For him, art is a space for learning, collaboration, and rethinking how we live with the earth.
